Where does the U240:1M-EU fit?
A one-zone mixer amplifier for large restaurants, banquet halls and large Masjids: about 32 6 W ceiling speakers at 100 V. For several zones with background and foreground music, the V Series; for a voice alarm, Bosch PLENA VAS, PAVIRO or PRAESENSA.
Which paging microphone?
The UCS-1 call station on MIC 1: push-to-talk, override and the two-tone chime. It is the same as the older Bosch PLE-1CS, which also works.

What can I connect to a U Series mixer amplifier?
- MIC 1: microphone or line, 48 V phantom, and the UCS-1 call station on its 5-pin Euroblock (override and two-tone chime).
- MIC 2: microphone or line with VOX ducking: music drops 0 to 45 dB when someone speaks.
- AUX: two RCA inputs, stereo summed to mono, for music.
- EMG: line or 100 V override from a voice alarm system.
Output: 4 ohm, 8 ohm, 70 V or 100 V by DIP switch.
How is a U Series amplifier installed?
1U high and half a rack wide. The supplied brackets fit it alone in a 19" rack, two side by side in one rack space (also next to a V600:2), on a table or under a table.
Can it connect to a fire alarm or voice alarm system?
Yes. The EMG input (line or 100 V) overrides everything, so a certified voice alarm system can take over the speakers in an emergency. The amplifier itself is not EN 54-16 certified; for certified voice alarm use Bosch PLENA VAS, PAVIRO or PRAESENSA.

The V Series is made for paging plus background and foreground music. In a building that needs a voice alarm it can run music and paging day to day while PLENA VAS, PAVIRO or PRAESENSA takes over every zone through its EMG input in an emergency.
